Hillcrest Bowling Club Shines in Hebden Royd & District ABA Competitions
Hillcrest Bowling Club has had an incredible season, bringing home multiple trophies from the Hebden Royd & District Amateur Bowling Association (ABA) competitions. With outstanding performances across several leagues, both individual players and teams have achieved remarkable success this year.
Team Achievements
Our teams have made us proud by performing consistently throughout the season and earning top positions in multiple divisions:
- Monday League Division 2 – Runners Up
- Friday Evening League Division 1 – Winners
- Veterans Division One – Runners Up
- Veterans Division Two – Winners
These results reflect the dedication and skill of our players, and we look forward to building on this success in the coming season.
Individual Honours
Special recognition also goes to several of our members who excelled in their individual categories:

Sheryl Robinson claimed victory in the Friday League Averages, demonstrating her consistency and talent throughout the season.

John Jackson took home the award for Veterans Division Two League Averages, another impressive achievement that highlights his mastery of the game.

Bob Woodhead earned two individual trophies this season:
- Veteran Pair's – Bob won this title alongside Dave Barns, showcasing their teamwork and skill in this competitive category.
- Veterans Handicap – Bob also took home the prestigious Veterans Handicap trophy, adding another impressive accolade to his season's achievements.
