Hillcrest Bowling Club is excited to announce the 47th running of the prestigious Hillcrest Classic Crown Green Bowling Competition. As one of the biggest events in the crown green bowling calendar, the Hillcrest Classic offers a chance for top bowlers to compete for fantastic prizes in front of enthusiastic crowds.
With total prize money of £5,490, this year’s competition promises to be one of the most exciting yet. Whether you’re a seasoned competitor or looking to make your mark in the bowling world, now is your chance to get involved!
Prize Breakdown
The Hillcrest Classic offers substantial rewards for bowlers at all levels of the competition. Here’s what’s up for grabs:
- Winner: £1,200
- Runner-Up: £600
- Semi-Finalists: £300
- Quarter-Finalists (Last 8): £200
- Last 16: £100
- Last 32: £75
In addition, we have the Highest Break Prize, kindly sponsored by Grosvenor’s Butchers:
- £20 per night
- £50 on the final night
How to Enter
Entries for the Hillcrest Classic 2025 are now open, with a maximum of 128 entries available. The entry fee is £25, and spaces are filling up fast, so be sure to secure your place as soon as possible!

You can also pay your entry fee via BACS. Bank details will be provided upon application. Please note that payment must be made within 14 days of your application to confirm your entry.
Key Dates for the Hillcrest Classic 2025
The competition will kick off with the qualifying rounds in April and continue through to the Final in July. Mark your calendars and be ready for some exciting bowling action!
Qualifying Rounds (Rounds 1 & 2) – Start Time 6:00 PM
- April 5th, 12th, 26th
- May 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th, 31st
Intermediate Rounds (Rounds 3 & 4) – Start Time 7:00 PM
- June 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th
(The draw will take place on the green before the game, and matches will be played down to the final 2 players.)
Final – 12th July 2025, Start Time 5:00 PM
Make sure to check back after each night for updates and results, which will be posted in draw format after each evening’s matches.

- Entry Fee: £25
- Game Format: 31 up off 3
- Players traveling together (up to 4) will be kept apart in the first round.

- Please note: Dogs (except guide dogs) are not allowed inside the clubhouse.
